Chamisa cartooned even before his election challenge hearing starts

The battle about who is going to become Zimbabwe’s next president has hardly begun but some people are already cartooning Movement for Democratic Change Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa as a vagrant,  a loafer looking for a job, with one of his purported benefactors, Grace Mugabe asking: “Asi ndiyani angada zvakadai?”

Chamisa who was beaten by Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front leader Emmerson Mnangagwa in the 30 July elections, has rejected the results and lodged a petition with the Constitutional Court last Friday in which he argues he was the winner and should therefore be declared the new president. If not, the country should hold fresh elections.

ZANU-PF is filing its opposing papers today.

The 1:18 minute video entitled: Nelson Chamisa’s post-elections funniest memes has already attracted more than 9 000 views on YouTube.

The memes include Chamisa posing as a militia, then as a gardener, a street vagrant.

In one meme he is floored by Mnangagwa but complains: “Ndabirirwa. It was not free and fair.”

In another Chamisa is confronted by his wife who asks: “Nhai dad, makati from August 1, I will be the first lady, wife of the president. Saka ED vachauya kuno here or ndini ndichainda ikoko?”

It ends with baby Chamisa being held by Bob saying: “With this boy?” and Grace saying: “Asi ndiyani angada zvakadai?”
