The Insider has obtained the full Supreme Court judgment which ruled that Nelson Chamisa’s leadership of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change was illegitimate and that the party should hold an extra-ordinary congress within three months.
The appellants were the Movement for Democratic Change, Nelson Chamisa and Morgen Komichi while the respondents were Elias Mashavira, Elias Mudzuri, Thokozani Khupe and Douglas Mwonzora.
The 42-page judgment was written by Justice Bharat Patel with Justices Paddington Garwe and Antonia Guvava agreeing.
