In Luke 24:21, the disciples said,
“We thought He was going to overthrow Rome.”
But Christ did not come to destroy Rome
He came to restore souls.
Some wanted a political king.
But Christ came as a resurrected Redeemer, not a revolutionary rebel.
And to those who say, “We expected more from our leaders…”
Let me say this gently: In the days of Moses, manna fell from heaven.
But when Joshua came, he said, “Prepare your fields.”
Manna stopped, and mission began.
If you wanted Moses, then expect manna.
But God raised Joshua to lead people into work, into ownership, into responsibility.
And the Joshua of our time is the one who says:
Let’s build Zimbabwe together.
He says: “No more manna, start building.”
He says, Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo.
To every pillar of society, this message is for you:
To the children in our Sunday Schools of Zion:
Never underestimate your prayers, your songs, your learning.
For David was a shepherd boy when God called him king.
You are the future of Zimbabwe, and your purity is your power.
To the youth of Zion and Zimbabwe: Do not wait to lead tomorrow.
Lead today.
Let your dreams be greater than your distractions.
Be like Joseph, who ruled Egypt not by age, but by wisdom and revelation.
To the women of Zion and Zimbabwe: Like Deborah, rise to lead.
Like Esther, rise to intercede.
Like Mary, rise to witness resurrection.
Your prayers preserve the nation, your wisdom builds homes,
And your strength pushes the Gospel forward.
To the military; your strength must defend peace, not just borders.
To the politicians; your voice must unite, not divide.
To the economists; your plans must uplift the poorest.
To the church; your gospel must build, not break.
To the police and public servants; serve faithfully until He returns.
To every Zimbabwean abroad; come home in heart and hand.
To Africa and the world, Zimbabwe’s rising is not isolation; it is invitation.
As Zion opens its gates to the world, we also say,
“Come and see what the Lord is doing.”
And Zion, remember: our calling is not just to Zimbabwe, it is to the world.
To take the Zion to the world, and to bring the whole world to Zion.
We pray not just for revival, but for global transformation.
For in the end, we are not building a church for today,
we are preparing the bride for His return.
We pray for the inclusivity of every Zimbabwean;
Those at the table and those forgotten,
Those in boardrooms and those in bushes,
Those with titles and those with tears.
Let us not be found idle when he returns.
