I speak not only to the faithful in these multitudes, but to:
- presidents,
- to soldiers,
- to entrepreneurs – Business men,
- to farmers,
- to those abroad,
- and those at home.
- I speak to the soul of Zimbabwe
Easter is a reminder that what was buried can rise again.
- So too can nations
- So too can dreams
- So too can Zimbabwe and Churches and Taberas
Our nation can rise again.
We do not stand here as a defeated people.
Zimbabwe does not need charity, it needs clarity.
For we are not victims.
Our greatest challenge is not what happened to us.
It is what has happened within us.
A Roman Soldier believed, “Surely He was Son of God” (Mark 15 vs 39).
What does Zimbabwe see Him as?
Zion sees Him as King of Zion.
We wait for someone to come and fix things, to feed us, to employ us.
But Jesus never said “wait for Rome”
He said, “Go”
Did David wait for Goliath to surrender?
Did Nehemiah wait for foreign aid to rebuild Jerusalem? No.
- They rose
- They worked
- They believed
We too must rise. We too must build.
As we build Zion like God did (Psalms 102 vs 16)
Let us not forget to build Zimbabwe and pray for it and its leaders
For the help we seek is already here:
- The land is here
- The sunlight and water are here
- The minerals, the minds, and the hands are here
- The Spirit of God is here
- The power to rise is already within us.
Your Excellency, we also recognize that ZANU-PF, like Zion Christian Church,
has survived the longest in Zimbabwe because of a shared principle:
The policy of engagement, re-engagement,
And the commitment to leave no one and no place behind
For God Himself does not desire that any be left behind,
For His heart is that all may come to life, to dignity, and to destiny.
