Movement for Democratic Change vice-president Tendai Biti made a big boob when he told an interviewer in the United States that one of the reforms Zimbabwe needs is how to ensure that there will be another coup?
Biti, who was in the United States promoting his book: Democracy Works, insisted that Zimbabwe was facing a political and not an economic crisis.
Once that political crisis, which emanated from the 2017 military “coup” and last year’s “stolen” election, was resolved everything else would fall in place.
Asked what other elements needed to be resolved, he said once Zimbabwe had resolved the political crisis, the country needed to look at electoral reforms, state capture, and securocracy, that is, “how do you coup proof Zimbabwe and ensure that there will be another coup…”
