The Zimbabwe Football Association is cashing in on Asiagate, match fixing scandal involving national soccer players. Reports say ZIFA has so far collected $35 000 as players pay their fines and appeal money to the association but ZIFA chief executive Jonathan Mashingaidze refused to disclose the exact amount the association had received.. “We are dealing with players and teams and it would be very difficult to say how much we have received from everyone as they are still paying and the amounts also differ from one player to the other.” Seventy players, officials and coaches involved in the scandal were banned or fined.
