Tractive improves trading volumes

Tractive Power Holdings had improved trading volumes, particularly in the parts and service departments, but though turnover increased by 516 percent to $54.1 billion, it had a net profit of only $7.5 billion.

The company says in its half-year report to February, that customer-funded sales have become an increasingly significant contributor to trading levels, particularly for Barzem, but these are not included in turnover.

Its business units have responded positively to firming demand for after-sales service and repairs resulting in increased levels of workshop activity.

The company says it expects margins and profits to remain the same for the second half and will focus on retaining key skills in order to maintain quality service and after sales support for its branded and franchise products.
