On April 5 this year the National Airways Workers Union and the Air Transport Union managed to stop Air Zimbabwe from transferring its sharers in National Handling Services to a wholly-owned government nominee company.
The transfer, the workers unions argued, was aimed at stripping Air Zimbabwe of its assets while a court case was pending against the national airline to pay its dues to the unions and Air Zimbabwe employees.
Air Zimbabwe owed them over $35million dollars.
