Zimbabwe is bad news. We get the facts constantly hammered into us: world record inflation, the world’s fastest shrinking economy, mass emigration to practically everywhere. The list is endless. Oh, and yes: it’s all the fault of Robert Mugabe. Therefore, he must go. It’s the kind of closed-minded journalism that does not do anyone any favours. And it positively rankles those who are attempting to try to do what journalists are supposed to be doing: finding the facts.
