President Robert Mugabe may be the oldest leader in Africa but he is definitely not the longest serving. He is currently the fourth longest serving leader in Africa and 14th in the world. The longest serving African leader is Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi, followed by Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea and Jose Eduardo dos Santos of Angola. Incidentally, all three are 68 while Mugabe is 86. We looked at the same scenario eight years ago and here was our take.
