More than 6 000 join Mnangagwa to get second coronavirus vaccination

A record 6 363 people, including Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa, today received their second dose of the coronavirus vaccination pushing the number of people now fully vaccinated to 43 728.

Those who have received their first dose rose to 308 071 after 12 440 were vaccinated today.

There were 38 new cases, including nine from St David’s Bonda Girls School, but no death was recorded today.

Deaths remained at 1 555 while cases rose to 38 018.

There were only eight recoveries raising the total to 35 073.

The number of active cases rose to 1 390 with 528 in Matebeleland South, 377 in Harare, 268 in Manicaland and 124 in Bulawayo.
