Mnangagwa fires Energy minister, appoints new Minister for Lands

Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fired Energy Minister Fortune Chasi and replaced him with Muzarabani North Member of Parliament Soda Zhemu.

He has also appointed Anxious  Jongwe Masuka and Minister of Lands replacing Perrance Shiri who died on 29 July.

Secretary to the Cabinet Misheck Sibanda said Chasi had been fired because “his conduct of government business had become incompatible with the President’s expectations”.
