Ministers must contribute on corruption debate

The Member of Parliament for Silobela Mtokozisi Mpofu says ministers and deputy ministers whose departments have been fingered in the debate on corruption must come to the house and contribute.

In the shortest contribution on the debate so far, Mpofu said he was especially interested in the minister responsible for ZESA, Dzikamai Mavhaire, and the one responsible for hospitals, David Parirenyatwa.

Full contribution:

MR. M. MPOFU: Thank you Mr. Speaker for the opportunity that you have given me to contribute to this motion on corruption. We are therefore asking that the Ministers and the Deputy Ministers debate on the departments where people are talking about corruption. We want to hear what they are saying about corruption. We want them to come and also contribute concerning the issue of corruption. Corruption is one thing that is really drawing us back as a country. As it is, we do not even have fuel for we know that there is no money to buy fuel coupons.

We are therefore asking Mr. Speaker, that you request that the Ministers also contribute on corruption, especially the one who is responsible for ZESA and the one responsible for hospitals.
