June untenable

Constitutional experts today said that June elections are untenable under the new constitution which was signed into law on Wednesday. They said President Robert Mugabe cannot call for elections until a new Electoral Amendment Act, setting provisions for the election of some members of the House of Assembly and the Senate under the proportional representation system, has been passed.
