Harare records highest number of new coronavirus cases for second day running

Zimbabwe today recoded two more coronavirus deaths as the capital Harare had the highest number of new cases for the second day running.

The national death toll now stands at 318.

There were 104 new cases, 34 of them in Harare, raising the number of cases to 12 151.

There were 90 recoveries today, 62 in Matebeleland North and 28 in Bulawayo. So far 9 984 people have recovered.

The number of active cases, however, rose to 1 849 with 525 in Bulawayo, 338 in Harare and 300 in Matebeleland South.

Globally the number of cases now stands at 76.4 million. There are 1.69million deaths, 53.6 million recoveries and 21.1 million active cases.
