Are black journalists expected to be more loyal than their white colleagues?

We asked this question 12 years ago when then Standard editor, Mark Chavunduka, his reporter, Ray Choto, and the paper’s managing director, Clive Wilson, were arrested and detained over a story carried by the paper about an alleged foiled coup. I believe we could be asking the same question today.
