Active cases of coronavirus in Zimbabwe continue to rise

The number of active cases of coronavirus in Zimbabwe continues to rise as more new cases are recorded every day with fewer and fewer recoveries.

Today, there were 40 new cases and only 13 recoveries.

The number of active cases rose from 1 182 yesterday to 1 209 today.

There are now 6 678 cases and 5 263 recoveries.

Harare has the highest number of active cases at 483 followed by Matebeleland South with 220 and Mashonaland West, 216.

Masvingo has the lowest, only seven, followed by Mashonaland Central with 19.

Globally the number of cases stands at 26.4 million and includes 870 100 deaths, 18.6 million recoveries and 6.9 million active cases.
