41recover from coronavirus in Zimbabwe, active cases down to 233

Zimbabwe today recorded five new cases of coronavirus and 41 recoveries bringing the number of active cases down to 233, almost half of them in Bulawayo.

The second city has 114 active cases while Harare has 58 and Manicaland 32. All the other provinces have less than 10 cases, each, except for Matebeleland South which has 10.

The country now has 8 320 cases but 7 845 people have recovered and 242 have died.

Globally the number of cases now stands at 44.6 million. This includes 1.18 million deaths, 32.6 million recoveries and 10.8 million active cases.

The United Kingdom is now at number 9 and is fast approaching one million cases. It had 453 000 cases at the beginning of this month but now stands at 942 000 cases.
