4 Zimbabweans die of coronavirus but more recover


Four Zimbabweans died of coronavirus yesterday but 65 recovered while there were only 41 new cases reversing the upward trend in active cases.

The number of active cases fell from 1 693 to 1 665 while the total of cases rose to 7 429 and that of recoveries to 5 542.

The number of active cases in Harare and Bulawayo continued to rise but Masvingo now only has six active cases. Mashonaland East has 12 and Matebeleland North 13.

Globally, the number of cases has risen to 28 million with 908 000 deaths, 20.1 million recoveries and seven million active cases.

The number of active cases in South Africa continues to decline and is now at 57 328 though the number of cases has risen to 642 431 and deaths to 15 168.
