Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai wound-up his tour of Mashonaland East today and will be in Mount Darwin tomorrow at the start of a three-day tour of Mashonaland Central.
The people of Mashonaland East said that next year’s elections were not likely to be free and fair as they were being intimidated by the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front which constantly reminded them of the election violence of 2008.
They did not even trust the biometric voter registration exercise which is being introduced to curb voter fraud saying ZANU-PF will use it to track who voted for which party.
Tsvangirai is on a nation-wide meet-the-people tour which has already taken him to Matebeleland, the Midlands, Masvingo and Manicaland.
He will conclude his tour with a visit to Mashonaland West.
