United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Charles Ray today said that there was still too much self censorship in the media in Zimbabwe. In a speech to mark World Press Freedom Day, Ray said: “Zimbabwe media environment remains threatened by legal and administrative impediments. Journalists and publishers continue to be under threat for doing their work with increased self-censorship for fear of criminal defamation suits.”
