Government might help Warriors

The government might help the national soccer team, The Warriors, to participate in the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup to be held in Brazil. Ironically, this was said by Mines Minister Obert Mpofu who said that the Warriors were the pride of the nation and therefore could not afford to withdraw from the FIFA World Cup. Sport falls under the Ministry of Education. The Zimbabwe Football Association is broke and said it was pulling out of the World Cup unless the government chips in. The Warriors are supposed to play Egypt in March with the return leg in June.
