Bulawayo records one more coronavirus death


Bulawayo today had one coronavirus death and 10 new cases.

Three people have died in the city in the past two days bringing the number of deaths in the city since the outbreak of the deadly pandemic in March to 59.

Zimbabwe has so far recorded 246 deaths, 121 in Harare.

Only three people recovered today bringing the total to 7 942.

There were 21 new cases raising the total to date to 8 410.

The number of active cases rose slightly to 222 with 86 in Bulawayo and 63 in Harare.

Globally the number of cases rose to 47.7 million.

Deaths also increased to 1.22 million.

Some 34.2million people have recovered but there are still 12.2 million active cases.

France seems to be one of the worst hit countries as it has 1.5 million cases, 1.3 million of them still active.
