Giovanni di Stefano who claimed to be a bona fide lawyer was today sentenced to 14 years in jail after being convicted of 25 charges, including deception, fraud and money laundering between 2001 and 2011. Di Stefano, known as the ‘devil’s advocate’ for representing high-profile criminals, claimed to know train robber Ronnie Biggs, Saddam Hussein, serial killer Dr Harold Shipman , Slobodan Milosevic and Robert Mugabe.
