We asked this question 12 years ago when then Standard editor, Mark Chavunduka, his reporter, Ray Choto, and the paper’s managing director, Clive Wilson, were arrested and detained over a story carried by the paper about an alleged foiled coup. I believe we could be asking the same question today.
