South African President Jacob Zuma is expected to visit Zimbabwe this week to meet the leaders of the unity government and iron out differences over power sharing. Southern African Development Community executive secretary Tomaz Salamao told reporters today that Zuma was expected to go to Harare by the end of the week to continue with mediation efforts because the troika summit had failed to take place. Zimbabwe’s leaders plan to hold elections next year, a move that supports, but most people say the country is not ready for elections.
