Zimbabwe’s economy to grow by 9.3 percent

Zimbabwe’s economy is expected to grow by 9.3 percent next year, according to Finance Minister Tendai Biti. Presenting his budget for 2011 today, Biti said this year the economy is expected to grow by 8.1 percent driven by mining and agriculture which are expected to grow by 47 percent and 33 percent, respectively. The economy grew by 5.7 percent last year.
