President Emmerson Mnangagwa has extended the amnesty on those who externalised funds to bring them back to 16 March and will publish the names of those who did not heed the call on 19 March.

According to the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation, Mnangagwa extended the amnesty at the request of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe which requested additional time to validate and finalise the process.

He granted the three month amnesty, which ended on 28 February, when he took office on 24 November.

Mnangagwa met the Reserve Bank governor John Mangudya yesterday.
