Mnangagwa expands cabinet, retires Mudede, appoints new permanent secretaries

Those appointed permanent secretaries are:

  1. Defence and War Veterans – Martin Rushwaya.
  2. Finance and Economic Development – George Tongesayi Guvamatanga.
  3. Energy and Power Development – Gloria Magombo.
  4. Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development – Rudo Chitiga.
  5. Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage – Melusi Matshiya.
  6. Transport and Infrastructural Development – Amos Marawa.
  7. Local Government, Public Works and National Housing – George Magosvongwe.
  8. Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development – Fanuel Tagwira.
  9. Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement – Ringson Chitsiko.
  10. Health and Child Care – Gerald Gwinji.
  11. Industry and Commerce – Mavis Sibanda.
  12. Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry – Munesushe Munodawafa.
  13. Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare – Judith Kateera.
  14. Foreign Affairs and International Trade –  James Manzou.
  15. Mines and Mining Development  – Onesimo M. Moyo.
  16. Information Communication Technology and Courier Services – Samuel Kundishora.
  17. Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation – Thokozile Chitepo.
  18. Justice, legal and Parliamentary Affairs – Virginia Mabiza.

The permanent secretaries in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services and the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education are yet to be appointed.

George Charamba who was permanent secretary for information was appointed Deputy Chief Secretary – Presidential Communications, while Jonathan Wutawunashe is the Secretary to the Service Commissions.
