Jonathan Moyo told to get a life- “you can’t tweet as a career”

He was backed by @IGetShwifty, who wrote: “You average 12 tweets pazuva,  12*365*5years=21 900 tweets to the next election. You can’t tweet as a career for the next 5 years, I think it’s high time you found a manual job or something, in ur own words, “rambai makashinga”

@MufudziMukandi said: “Its quite sad that yu really believe u can tweet democracy into being…..”

He was supported by @DenyaTadios who comnplained: “Jonzo you disappointed us, we were busy following you tichifunga you have tangible information haaaaa takangofanana plz usanyepere vanhu now hona zvakaitika nhezuro.”

@clemmymuchuweni asked why Moyo was now focusing on the 0.8 percent only: “But maiti chamisa has an outright win wani Prof. Now you focusing on that .8 to try and force a run off. Thought akahwina Chamisa.”

@Zimbabwe my added: “If they’re so confident why can’t they release already, it’s no longer illegal now. I just saw @DavidColtart looking for v11 forms from the public shading a reflection this is pure treachery! Imagine if people matched today based on what? Here say? C’mon.”

Jonathan Moyo has one of the largest twitter following among Zimbabwe’s politicians, more than those of Chamisa, and his following has grown phenomenally since he went into exile.

He had only 196 000 followers when he left the country, which was quite large at the time, but these have since grown to 347 000. Chamisa had about 150 000 supporters but they now stand at 319 000.

But one of Moyo’s followers once warned him that he should not be fooled to think that all the people that follow him support him, others follow him just to see what he is up to.

Chamisa has seven days to challenge the results, so he should do so before the end of this week.

According to the Sunday Mail, however, there is already a fight within the MDC Alliance with some saying he is wasting time because the party did not have election agents at all polling stations.

The pro-Mnangagwa paper said among those telling Chamisa to back out are Tendai Biti, Elias Mudzuri, Douglas Mwonzora, Jameson Timba (who was Chamisa’s election agent) and Murisi Zwizwai.

It said those backing Chamisa were his spokesperson Nkululeko Sibanda and Morgen Komichi who stormed the stage while the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission was announcing results and rejected them.

The paper said Timba, however, said he and the others were solidly behind Chamisa.
