Four men were arrested with $4 million cash and $100 kg of gold in Borrowdale, Harare, yesterday.

According to the Herald, they wanted to smuggle the cash and gold out of the country.

The money and gold was stashed in suitcases and was in denominations of $100s, $50s, $20s and $10s.

Police were still checking the details.

Zimbabwe has been experiencing a cash shortage for nearly two years and banks are giving clients only $20 and mostly in coins.
