Former Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa, a close ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of struggling national airline, Air Zimbabwe.
The Ministry of Information said Chinamasa’s appointment was a show of government’s commitment to turn around Air Zimbabwe.
The airline was at one time reduced to one plane though there have been reports that it has bought two Boeing 777s and an Embraer ERJ 145.
