Air Zimbabwe won’t go

Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi today said Zimbabwe will not shut down its bankrupt national airline but it seeking foreign partners to rescue it. He said the airline is the country’s symbolic flag carrier and cannot be dismantled without bruising the nation’s ego and damaging Zimbabwe’s image worldwide. The airline owes at least $100 million and is looking for another $500 million to upgrade its aging fleet.
