British Foreign Minister David Howell today said it would be premature to readmit Zimbabwe to the Commonwealth because President Robert Mugabe was showing no signs of recanting, standing down or removing some of his thugs from the scene. “There’s got to be big changes inside Zimbabwe,” he said. Zimbabwe pulled out of the grouping in 2003.
