The full list of the 23 candidates vying to become Zimbabwe president

A record 23 candidates yesterday registered to contest for the presidency of Zimbabwe on 30 July including Ambrose Mutinhiri who was last week fired from the National Patriotic Front which is allegedly backed by former President Robert Mugabe.

He registered as the candidate for that party. It is not clear whether his rivals ultimately managed to become party of the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance or not.

Below is the list of the candidates and the parties they represent.

6-Blessing Kasiyamhuru (Zimbabwe Partnership for Prosperity).

7-Thokozani Khupe (MDC-T)

8- Professor Lovemore Madhuku (National Constitutional Assembly),

9- Noah Manyika (Build Zimbabwe Alliance)

10- Bryn Mteki (Independent)

11-William Mugadza (Bethel Christian Party)

12-Evaristo Chikanga (Rebuild Zimbabwe)

13-Joseph Busha (FreeZim Congress).

14-Violet Mariyacha (United Democracy Movement)

15-Joice Mujuru (People’s Rainbow Coalition),

16-Nkosana Moyo (Alliance for People’s Agenda)

17-Johannes Chiguvare (People’s Progressive Party)
