Official summary of the case against Jonathan Moyo and others

Higher Education Minister Jonathan Moyo dominated the news this week because of his alleged misuse of funds belonging to the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund.

The media onslaught, especially from Zimbabwe Newspapers, which Moyo once controlled (and sometimes abused some would say) as Minister of Information has caught many by surprise prompting some to agree with Moyo that the case has become political.

The fact, however, remains. Zimbabwe has become so corrupt that Nelson Chamisa, vice-president of the country’s largest opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change, once told Parliament that  it had almost become a religion.

The question is: Will Moyo and his four other co-accused be charged?

If they are, what will happen to all those who have been involved in highly publicised corrupt activities but have gotten away with it?

Without taking anything away, we like you to judge for yourself. Here is the official summary of the case against Moyo, and others, courtesy of The Sunday Mail.
