10 more die of coronavirus in Zimbabwe, active cases continues to rise

Ten Zimbabweans died of coronavirus today and the number of active cases continued to rise.  It now stands at 1 093 up from 1 071 yesterday.

The death toll is now 189 with Harare alone accounting for 110. Almost two-thirds of the people, 122, have died this month.

There were 41 new cases and only nine recoveries with the total number of cases rising to 6 292 and recoveries to 5 010.

Globally, the number of cases has risen to 24.5 million and includes 832 600 deaths, 17 million recoveries and 6.6 million active cases.

South Africa continues to do well with the number of active cases falling to 76 957 though the total number of cases has risen to 615 701 and deaths to 13 502.
