President Jacob Zuma today dispatched his negotiating team of Charles Nqakula, Mac Maharaj and Lindiwe Zulu to intervene in what Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has described as a constitutional crisis following what he called illegal appointments by President Robert Mugabe since the signing of the Global Political Agreement. Tsvangirai says the appointments are null and void. ZANU-PF spokesman Rugare Gumbo said Tsvangirai was trying to turn a purely domestic issue into an international one.
