Zimbabwe records only 8 new coronavirus cases vaccinates more than 7 000 on Easter Saturday

Zimbabwe today recorded only eight new cases out of more than 1 000 people that were tested and vaccinated 7 773 people bringing the total who have so far received the first dose to 111 588.

Only 389 got the second dose today to make a total of 21 327.

Twenty-four people recovered leaving only 655 active cases, 428 of them in Harare and 124 in Bulawayo.

There was no death today which the total remaining at 1 524. Cases now stand at 36 911 and recoveries at 34 732.

Zimbabwe instituted strict travel restrictions for the Easter holidays and seems to be winning the war though there are still two more days to go before the end of the holiday.
