The MDC went to court to have the police ban nullified saying its demonstration was unstoppable.
Police issued the ban claiming that intelligence had shown that the demonstrations would turn violent.
The past two demonstrations organised by the MDC have turned violent with six people being killed in August last year and at least 13 others in January this year.
Critics have argued that the demonstrations were not meant to benefit the people but were aimed at propping the personal egos of the MDC leadership by simply showing that they have mass support.
