The Sydney Sekeramayi Wikileaks cables

First Lady Grace Mugabe has accused the Karanga of being tribalists at the last two ZANU-PF youth rallies in Gweru and Bindura and has said those who support factionalism should move to either the Midlands or Masvingo.

She dressed down Mnangagwa for having presidential ambitions and leading a faction called Lacoste insisting that the faction allegedly backing her, G40, does not exist.

What is most interesting though is that, although Sekeramayi has been minister of two key security ministries, Defence and Security, longer than anyone else, there are only three Wikileaks cables out of nearly 3 000 Wikileaks cables on Zimbabwe that mention his name.

The first one was dispatched in 1988, the other one in 2000 and the third in 2004.

The cables were released in 2009.

Movement for Democratic Change leader Morgan Tsvangirai has the highest number at 726, followed by President Robert Mugabe with 626 and Gideon Gono with 269.

Sekeramayi’s main rival Emmerson Mnangagwa has 194, less than Jonathan Moyo and Welshman Ncube.

Below are the three cables on Sekeramayi:

1-Sekeramayi is presidential material-Wikileaks

2-Ministers demand cut for oil deals with South Africa-Wikileaks

3-Cabinet reshuffle shows power of hardliners and military- Wikileaks
