Manicaland has recorded its first positive case of coronavirus increasing the national total to 25.

The Ministry of Health said it tested 133 cases yesterday, bringing the total to 2 626.

So far positive cases are one in Matebeleland North, 10 in Bulawayo, nine in Harare, four in Mashonaland East and one in Manicaland.

This means there are no coronavirus cases in five other provinces- Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland West, Midlands, Masvingo and Matebeleland South.

Three people have so far died and two have recovered.

The government declared a 21-day lockdown which started on 30 March and is expected to end today.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to advise the nation today whether the lockdown will be extended or not and what form it will take if it is extended.
