SIX  officials from the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation and Canadile Miners have been arrested on allegations of fraudulently getting Government approval to mine diamonds in Chiadzwa, Marange District, reports said today. The six- ZMDC chief executive Dominic Mubaiwa, company secretary Tichaona Muhonde, chairman Gloria Mawarire, board members Ashton Ndlovu and Mark Tsomondo, as well as Canadile Miners representative Lovemore Kurotwi- were arrested for allegedly misleading the government that a South African company, BSGR, was keen to invest US$2 billion in Zimbabwe.  Zimbabwe is trying to get its Marange diamonds to be traded openly on the market. A decision will be made  tomorrow.
