According to the latest Monetary Policy Statement, Zimbabwe has 14 commercial banks, four building societies and one savings bank.
It has 268 credit only microfinance institutions, nine deposit taking microfinance institutions and four development financial institutions.
Total banking sector assets stood at ZiG161.39 billion at the end of 2024.
