Chamisa dismisses Mnangagwa’s cabinet says an illegitimate President cannot appoint a legitimate cabinet

But Chamisa got support from Tapiwa Chinembiri who said: “Zimbabweans we forget easily…now we are busy celebrating a cabinet of those whom we didnt vote for? We have already forgotten that the election was just stolen?”

Malume Maki answered back: “No Cde its not about forgeting but moving on, time is not on how side. We can’t continue mourning for an additional 5 years – ini kwete.”

When reminded by Chinembiri that ZANU-PF had not taken the nation anywhere, Maki responded: “ I know the old Zanu has not taken us anyway Guys pessimism wont take us anyway either – like it or not this is what we have till 2023. Let’s support what there now.”

Xavi.coms said: “Zanu Pf is Zanu Pf bro old or new. We not going anywhere watch the space.  This is just a cabinet nothing more.”

Tafadzwa replied: “The sooner you accept defeat in a contest the better for you. This obsession with power is very dangerous for you and all Zimbabweans. Why cant you show us for once that you love Zimbabwe. You should learn a thing or two from Julius Malema on how you can be an effective opp leader.”

But Wemusango responded: “Accept defeat if it is really defeat. Theft and defeat are in no way similar.”

Writing in the Guardian Mnangagwa said the opposition had a very important role to play but alleging fraud without substantiating it was almost like reneging on its role.

“Indeed, the role of opposition leader is critical to democracy’s function. The incoming administration will be weaker if not held to the checks and balances that parliament provides,” Mnangagwa said.

“Were he to renege on this role, it will only sap the nascent democratic culture taking root.

“Alleging fraud without substantiating it has a similar effect. In the absence of readily available evidence, it served only to polarise voters. Those who had believed the opposition leader’s claims had to do so in blind faith.

“Without such faith, it is difficult to see where this fraud came from. The opposition, however, were fully within their rights to bring their case to court.

“In fact, it is encouraging to see that the democratic and judicial tools available to them were exercised.

“In full view of the evidence submitted, the courts found against their claim. Now we must come together to realise what the people of Zimbabwe call out for: prosperity, opportunity and accountability rooted in peace,” he said.
