Another Zimbabwe government minister dies of coronavirus

Zimbabwe Minister of Transport Joel Biggie Matiza has died of the coronavirus becoming the third minister to die within a week and the fourth since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.

Information secretary Nick Mangwana confirmed Matiza’s death which follows that of Manicaland Provincial Affairs Minister Ellen Gwaradzimba and Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Moyo.

Agriculture Minister Perrance Shiri died in July last year.

More than 30 000 Zimbabwe have so far been affected and 917 have died.
