The strict lockdown restrictions that Zimbabwe imposed just over a month ago seem to be paying off. The country today recorded only 65 new cases and 10 deaths with the seven-day rolling average for new cases dropping from 173 to 166.
Zimbabwe has now recoded 34 552 cases which include 28 551 recoveries, 1 326 deaths and 4 675 active cases.
Some 168 people recovered today. The recovery rate has risen to 82.6%.
Active cases in Harare have dropped to 1 669, those in Manicaland to 737, Matebeleland North 512 and Bulawayo 388.
The lockdown was extended to 15 February which is now only a week away.
