Only 6 women shortlisted for Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission interviews

Only six women out of 38 candidates have been shortlisted for interviews to join the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission, according to the list published today.

The chair, Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo, was appointed last week.

Interviews will be conducted on 21 June.

The six women shortlisted are: Nomsa Hazel Ncube, Fungayi Jessie Majome, Caroline-Ann Chigumira, Sithembiso Angela Tofa, Thandiwe Mlobane and Mabel Ndakaripa Hungwe.

A total of 152 candidates were nominated for the commission whose members resigned in January.

Parliament’s Committee on Standing Rules and Orders only published a list of 133 and this has now been reduced to 38.

The committee has to select at least 12 candidates from which the President will appoint 8.
