1 person from Bulawayo dies of coronavirus as active cases continue to rise

One person from Bulawayo died of coronavirus today raising the national tally to 231 and that for Bulawayo to 47.

All three people who have died so far this month are from Bulawayo.

The country recorded 19 new cases raising the total to 8 055.

There were only 5 recoveries resulting in the number of active cases increasing to 184.

Bulawayo now leads in the number of active cases at 74. Harare has 36 and Mashonaland West 32.

Globally there are now 38.7 million cases which include 1.1 million deaths, 29.1 million recoveries and 8.5 million active cases.

India is closing in on the United States while the United Kingdom seems to be catching up with South Africa.
