Zimbabwe vaccinates 4 000 as new coronavirus cases continue to drop

Zimbabwe today said it vaccinated 2 727 people bringing to the number of people vaccinated since the programme begun last Thursday to 4 041.

There were 48 new cases but seven deaths up from only one yesterday.

The number of cases has risen to 35 910 and deaths to 1 448.

Seventy-two people recovered today raising the total to 32 288 while the number of active cases dropped to 2 174.

Harare now has 830 active cases, Manicaland 563, Mashonaland West 229 and Bulawayo 133.

According to the Ministry of Health 156 people were hospitalised as of yesterday, 36 of them severe cases. Four were in intensive care.
